The Carter Family

Spanky Carter is a very family-oriented person. He loves spending time with his wife and kids and has enjoyed attending his children’s school activities throughout the years. He always enjoyed coaching his kids’ little league teams and teaching them how to play sports. The Carter's are of the Church of Christ faith.
- Spanky and his wife, Donna, have been married for 24 years, and have five children.
- Trey, 23, attended college on a baseball scholarship and plans to graduate from Angelo State University in May 2010.
- Jessica, 21, recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma and has accepted an internship with Congressman Ralph Hall’s office in Washington, D.C. starting in June. She then plans to attend law school in the fall.
- Casey, 19, is attending the University of Texas at Tyler on an academic scholarship.
- Madison, 17, is a senior in high school, and has accepted a baseball scholarship with Grayson County College.
- Lindsay, 11, is a 5th grader and enjoys singing and playing basketball, volleyball and softball.

Carter’s thoughts on education: “My parents never had the opportunity to attend college but they worked hard to ensure that my brother, my sister and I all got a college education. I have tried to stress the same importance to my kids because education is very important to me. I believe education is the key to success.”
